Longer oil filters ...Some slight modification

I've used the K&N oil filter for the V8 Mustang for years. It has a lager diameter and between 1.5 - 2 times the stock's length. Will these approximate dimensions violate the packaging with the dual core in place? Any pics will help.

What are some of the modifications and will they be detailed in the instructions. Else please direct to a souce for this information.

I ran the big filter with a dual core radiator. Other people say that they can't fit it.

The only modification I had to make was drill two new holes for the overflow bottle bracket.

The stock radiator works well, is lighter, and less hassle to install than the much thicker dual core unit. I imagine shipping charges to GWN would be high, so I'd shop local auto parts store and see who offers the best combination of price and warranty.

I run a triple core, its freakin awesome. Tho it does take a bit longer to get warm air in the cabin. Not a huge deal to me.

IMO, stick with stock, as stated above, it's less hassle to use and it does weigh less. The only reason to upgrade your radiator is if your car overheats with your current setup/driving conditions. But in reality if all it is is a DD, it shouldn't be over heating unless you are boosted or something of the like. So there might be some other under lying problem if this is the case. I only know one person with a duel core radiator, and he's only got it because he tracks the car and needs it.

I still don't understand the need for the higher capacity heat sink. With the stock single row radiator and good maintenance, my car has had no heat-related issues during 100F+ degree days of stop-and-go commuting, 3,000 pound boat pulling and road track duty. The system on the MTX SHO that does need some increased thermal assistance for track service is the power steering fluid. No harm in extra capacity though. Good luck.

Illustrations and Harsh climate

Would the colder climate conditions of the GWN effect the rate at which the vehicle reaches operating temperature?

Pics of a larger oil filter and dual core rad setup would be appreciated. This would provide a perception of the packaging environment and possible interference with components in the engine bay.

Ideally, I'd prefer a local supplier but have had no feedback to date. Therefore, I've expanded my search.
