I have a 95 MTX. If I do the 96 Brake Upgrade can I stick with the stock calipers or do I need to upgrade them ?

If I can stay with the stock calipers, then (correct me if I am wrong) all I would need is 96 brake pads, rotors, and mounting bracket ?

100% correct:
Caliper brackets, rotors & pads are all that's needed from the 96 SHO.

Just out of curiosity, and I'm sure this has been answered somewhere, the rotors from the 96-99 SHO's when used for an upgrade, will they fit inside the 16in slicers, or are 17 in wheels needed? Also can those larger rotors go all 4 around? I'll be putting them on a 94 SHO.

I THINK that you can use them on the slicers, because aren't the 96 SHOs also a 16" rim?
Also, I'm pretty sure you can use them all around, but it would be somewhat of a waste of money to spend $300 for the back brakes, because the front brakes do about 80% of the braking.

Yes, the 96+ brakes are fine with the stock Slicers. You can also do the upgrade all the way around. tomw has both his fronts and rears done.

Sorry to interupt the direction of this thread. While you do not necessarily have to replace the calipers, they can be had very cheap as a remanufactured OEM part at Advance. They are real OEM parts with the Ford stamp and part#'s. I think mine were about $30-35 a piece for the fronts.

Just thought I would throw that in there. Cant hurt to replce them from a reliability standpoint, and to **** with re-buliding them myself for as cheap as they are.

Plus, they are all clean and ready for paint if you so desire when you get them.

Though that might be helpful, Aspect

It involves an adapter not available to the public due to liability reasons. You also lose your e-brake which would make the upgrade useless for me. I'd get a rejection sticker every time for safety inspection.
