just got done installing the dual gauge setup with their pod. Right now the gauges are just hooked up with the obd port, I’m having trouble getting them to power up at start up sometimes. Sometimes only one with come on and I have to manually turn it on. Also when I shut the car off and they are not fully powered down and I open the drivers door my car’s horn will give 2 little quick beeps. I’m thinking it just might be better to run the second harness they give and wire it to a 12v ignition switch. Anyone else run into this?

Forgot to mention I’ve used the interceptor before on a previous car and didn’t have this issues but it was using the 12v ignition wire as a power source.

I have had the dual setup for a year. When I first got them the main OBD cable was bad, called them and they sent a replacement in 2 days. No issues at all since.

I don't have the dual setup but it is perfectly normal for the gauge to sometimes take a minute or two to come to life when starting the car. It is also normal for it to not shut down for a few seconds after turning the car off and opening the door. I can't explain WHY that is the case but it is. Of course, this may have nothing to do with the dual setup that you are talking about

I know the it takes a few seconds for them to shut down but the horn honk is new. As soon as I unplug the obd port it will not honk. I’m thinking the car is seeing the draw of the interceptors and telling you left something on in the car. I’m just going to wire them to 12v ignition switch and see what happens.

Got them wired up to a 12v ignition tonight after work and seems like it solved all my issues. They both power up now all the time and not getting the weird honk thing at shut down
