I just got my R1 rotors in yesterday for my 2015 SHO, going to order some powerstop z37 top cop pads tomorrow.

I would like to upgrade my calipers to the PP pistons and seals while I have everything apart, I imagine the seals shouldn't be an issue but I just wanted to see if anyone knows if the PP pistons will fit in a non-pp caliper without any issues?

I assume that they the are the same castings and the only difference is the vent holes, but I wanted to at least check before I order everything. $35 a wheel for pistons and seals is better then $100 for a whole new caliper.

Be careful, I read somewhere way back that the PP master cylinder was a different diameter piston, so that it had a different hydraulic displacement. I don't know if they also altered the PP calipers for a larger (or smaller) piston.

on 2013-2019 SHOs there is no difference in the caliper or rotor, only the pad material. SOME PPs came with vented pistons, but there was no performance difference.

I don't think vented pistons are even offered any more, probably due to costcutting reasons. The seals do not tend to fail, PP or not.

Yes. They're the same sizes. The seals are silicon for PP. I have them on my 2010 (converted to 2013+ PP sized calipers and rotors). If you autocross or perform hard frequent high-speed stops in mexico, they're the way to go. If you're not going to frequently cook them for minutes at a time, the stocks do just fine.

Also the hat on some PP rotors were vented from the factory.
