Where are you in Michigan? Livernois is in Dearborn Heights, and Mobsteel is in Brighton. My two favorite mods to this car and I got to pick both up in person.

I probably live in the middle between Brighton and Dearbon Heights both about an 1/2 hour to 40 minutes away. I live in Superior Township and this is the third SHO I've owned I had a 91 and 96.

Thanks to everyone, I have a question with the 20" wheels and Michelin tires will I need another set of wheels for winter?

Kinda depends on you, the condition of your tires and where you live. I live in NJ and have no problems in winter with the Michelins and the all wheel drive for the last two winters. That said, I always put snows on any two wheel drive car I've owned. Hope this helps.

I recommend a nice clean gen3 for winter wheels; or maybe an Escape. :thumb:

Let me preface this by saying I hate rust. Everyday I see newer and newer automobiles with big nasty holes in them and think..."It's completely ruined".

I certainly would not subject any nice car to a Michigan winter unless it was a lease.

The following scenario does not compute for me and never has:

I just spent more than $30,000 dollars on a machine that's built mostly out of steel. I think I'll submerse it in salt water for 4 or 5 months out of the year.

My dad is meticulous when it comes to car washes and trying to prevent rust. That didn't stop his 2001 Conti from showing rust within 8 years. He loved that car and when it was all said and done, aside from the rust, the car was perfect - he only got $2500 as trade in value.

I bought a set of 18's with Blizzaks and highly recommend it. We didn't get many huge snow falls last year, but got a lot of 1-2" storms, and I had no issues with any of it. All season tires don't do that well in the snow. They will get you by, buy they cant compare to even the cheapest snow tire.

That is true. Up here in Quebec, Canada, we have huge winters, but the most dangerous is when the asphalt is cold and there is just a bit of snow... With the AWD system you feel that you have perfect control because it won't even spin when accelerating from a stop, but the issue is when you want to stop, AWD has nothing to do and the stop relies only on the tires. Believe me, I know what I am talking about because we have 6 months a year with snow or cold temperature and winter tires are the way to go, unless you live where it doesn't go below freezing point... but you live in Michigan, so don't even question it! I need to buy winter tires myself because when I purchased my car it was late February and I didn't want to start with a 2K$ investment for wheels and tires, but now I need to get it equipped.

That's funny because I traded in my Escape on the SHO, and before that traded in my 96 SHO on the Escape which was the winter car/daily driver for my Jaguar. I kind of want to get back to driving one car and not have to deal with the expense of maintaning two vehicles.
