Has anyone used amsoil in the trans or should I just stick with the merc?
I'm running the Amsoil SS fuel effient (LV) ATF. I didn't have issues before, but after I changed it I noticed more second gear chirp and a what seems like better torque transfer/multiplication and Uploadfromtaptalk1469904606009solid engagements. Also after beating on it, the shifts did not soften, stayed firm.{pause} That's only with 1drain/fill. I managed to coax almost 6qts out. Plus I installed a inline magnetic filter.Uploadfromtaptalk1469904547377

I have talked to a tuner from LMS before and he never gave that as a option. In the 4 tune it was fine but once I started the 4+ tune it started so I put it back in 4 and it does it in that tune now I have had a random thud every once and a while like 2 times that I can remember 3-4. But the shudder from 1-2 is like you ran over rough railroad tracks for 2 seconds straight. LMS advised me to change ptu fluid and trans fluid but still the same. I thought about just taking it up there. One thing they did keep saying is the transmission learns and adapts could it be that I need to re tune it and drive it normal to re learn?

I got the same response from them. I personally use the 91 tunes because we don't have 93 here in Boise. The tuner told me that over 70 others are running my same tune with no problems (91 octane stage 4+). I asked if they could lower pressures and they said the stage 4 has lower pressures. The tuner also said they dropped the 93 4+X tune and sent me a 93 stage 4 to replace it. I'm confused...why did they drop the 93 4+X? Why did they replace it with the 93 stage 4? Why did they touch the 93 tune if the 91 is the one I have problems with?
I decided to try out the 93 4+X by mixing some E85 and 91 octane (non ethanol). It doesn't shudder, it now chirps the front tires on the 1-2 (which is cool but maybe too aggressive for me). Assuming the tuner was forthright about the 93 stage 4 tune (and the 91 stage 4) I'll probably update my tuner (after a few runs rhis weekend) and load the 93 stage 4 and see if the shudder comes back, before going back to the 91 stage 4 tune so I don't have to keep mixing gas (this was just a test to try it out). My best 1/4 times on the 91 stage 4 were 13.85 and 101 mph.

Also, I have a 2010 non PP with 37k miles and I haven't done the transmission and ptu fluid services yet, but I will in the next couple weeks.
