No. The second part starts now and that is the body work and stuff. once this is done I will start messing around with fittment stuff. We came up with some pretty neat ideas that should make the car look better in the front. No 5mph bumber and some other small stuff like fog lights and air damn.

on side not. I love the fact that the euro dollar has crashed. 3 months it was 1euro=2USD now it 1 euro = 1.25USD :woo-hoo:

That is all.

Not quite; you are confusing the Euro with the Sterling; Euro was at 1.57 tops, I travel to Europe regularly; my daughter studies in Vienna and I work for a German corp. Sterling (British) was 2 to 1 in the summertime and now down to about 1.55. I remember paying $7 for a bottled water in London !

No updates on the progress as it been sitting BUT its getting moved into my garage. Which is huge. But with all good things there's a small negative :( but I really want this thing in my garage so I can work on it again. I can't wait to get there, parts are at my place like the tranny and the engine is next. then the car itself. So the ball is moving on this project.

Hmm. I'm not busy this saturday-sunday...

Ha, this weekend is busy for me actually. My sister's wedding is friday and saturday is gonna be a recovery day for me. Might plan a way to get it there with out paying for it to be towed...bla bla. And maybe even try to move it sunday :woo-hoo:

But yea... once I get it here, figure out where I left off, and find an engine lift. You should def. come up and help out.

Its so small, when the SHO was in there it was tight fit with the two bikes and misc stuff. Theres plenty of room to work and fit things next to it. (engine hoist, engine). Also this thing is SO FREAKING light, I can pick up the front of the car off the 2 jack stands a good 6 inches, and I am not big  We just pushed it up and off the trailer too lol

How it was left 1.5 years ago. Now its cleaned up and the engine bay is empty....sans steering system. I am picking up an engine hoist tommorow, but for now I am working on getting the interior out w/ out breaking anything and keeping organized

Interior is stripped sans headliner. Door panels will just go with the doors when they get pulled off. Thats what I did this saturday and a little bit sunday. Did some F1 go karting at NJMP, so that took away from working on it. A good trade off IMO :)

A pic of it gutted

The RUST

Here the major parts of the car affected by rot. I really do hate rust. But for the most the car is overall pretty solid, considering these car usually rust to peices, as no one cares bout them. The rust will be getting fixed (got all the parts, pic on pg 2) but first is going to be the cutting and welding to make the engine/bell housing fit. Which it will except in the height department....pretty sure of that. But a bulged hood should fix that if needed.

Driver side unibody under batt tray. Pretty common... caused the battery always ending up leaking and running down. also the jack point is affected

Battery box in the bay.
IMAG0145

Pass-side jack point...GONE
IMAG0149

The hole in floor above jack point

q-panles. This is cut and dry. Pretty easy fixes

And an overall of the engine bay. Empty just need to buy a star drive to get the stubborn motor mounts out! steering shaft is staying cause thats not being modified
