Clutch has some more miles on it, but it's getting worn. That looks like a 17lb billet flywheel? Pull it off and look at the back side of it.

Now that I can see the disc better, the clutch it getting fairly worn. You would be time ahead by doing it now.

For example, this is the original clutch from my '92, with about 118k miles on it:

Get the flywheel resurfaced, and purchase a new clutch disc, pressure plate and throw-out bearing. It's a lot of work to replace those relatively inexpensive parts.

I have a new clutch in the 95 that will be receiving the 3.2. I will be re-using that.

Here are some before and after pics of the strut rods after some quality time in the blast cabinet.

Chemtool B12, long handled wire brush (maybe a dryer lint brush?), and elbow grease. Outdoors and preferably with chemical mask.

One or two people have actually taken the intake apart and used a dishwasher. Results are very good. But I am sure not appreciated by the spouse/significant other :)

The best and easiest method is hot tanking. Everything will come out bone dry clean. Look locally for a performance or machine shop with the capability. I just had an entire SHO intake done for $25. To me that is money VERY well spent!

I called a few places and they want between $85 and $150. That is not money well spent in my book. I will have to just go to town with some elbow grease.

Spent some quality time with my intake dismantling and prepping it for cleaning.

There was some oil in the rear tube.

It there any gains to enlarging the holes in the crossover tube couplings?

WOW those openings look smaller than what came off my car.

Either way buy the silicone ones off SHOsource makes install much easier and pretties up the intake look quite a bit.

And be sure that the the gasket surfaces are clean as you can get them before reassembly or you will battle vacuum leaks forever.

Finished cleaning most of the intake. The snakes still have a ton of crud so they are soaking overnite.

In the mean time I decided to start polishing the intake
The extreme left is stock 20 year old finish
next to that is 80 grit
next to that is 100 grit
next to that is 180 grit
then a little 600 for S's & G's

I didn't spend too much time and the results are already pretty good.

Step one - 80 Grit

Step two on the right is 100 Grit

Step three - 180/600 grit most right

Here is where I am at after spending some serious time sanding. I still need to get some dremmel sanding drums to get into the tight spots.
This is after 80 grit, 100, 180, 220, 600 wet, 800 wet.

After some polish. They need more sanding.

I have started to harvest the 3.2 from my crashed 93.
Is it possible to remove just the engine from the top, or do I have to take the trans with it.

I hear that it is possible if you get all of the accessories out of the way, but then it's a huge pain to get it back in the car and line up the input shaft on the trans.

Overall, easier just to take the trans with it....
