I recently replaced my power steering hose and now the new hose whines. I listened to various areas of the steering system with a mechanics stethoscope and hear the whine the loudest right in the middle of the hose. The whine is not noticeable at highway speeds and increases in pitch as you accelerate. It is also loud when turning into parking spaces. I have a 95ATX with 155,000 miles on it. I recently replaced ps pump, rack, tie rods, vaps motor, sfb's (now aluminum), sway bar bushings and finally both end links. All in an effort to get rid of that ever elusive steering **** in corners. Which I still have at low speeds but not at highway speeds which is an improvement. Any ideas on the whine or the ****?

You have air in the system.

Perform a vacuum-assisted purge following the directions in the service manual. Without the vacuum, you'll never get the air purged.
