Poor Gargage Door Opener Performance

Just wondering if anyone else has issues with the visor garage door opener? Mine programmed just fine, but distance performance is lacking, especially the closing function where I have to be just beyond the reach of the door. Craftsman garage door opener with no issues with the remotes that came with it. I even extended the opener transmitter wire to try to gain some distance with no benefit.

I have to be relatively close for mine to work.

This was an issue with my 2011 sho and also with my 2016 sho. Not at all a huge issue as my driveway is right around 125ft (give or take).

I've always backed my car into my garage and it's fairly picky about distance after pulling out and facing the other direction. This boggles my mind as its comparably the same distance (within a few feet) to when I'm backing in and it has zero issues when trying to open it.

With my SHO I have to basically be pushing the door in with the bumper to get it to start opening.
I had an '08 Maxima a few years ago at the same house and that car had the same setup as the SHO and I could open the door backing in at least 40 feet down the driveway.

The range on my car is not as good as the opener supplied with the motor. That said, I can still be a good 30'-40' and it will work.
