Well I bought a new MTX 220watt amp to power a single 6.5 inch JL sub that I'm going to put in the factory sub enclosure. My question is, is it possible and safe to use the factory JBL sub amp power and ground wires to run the new MTX amp? If so, does anyone have the factory sub amp wiring diagram so I can figure out which wire is what. Thanks.

You can reuse the old amp wiring but I wouldn't. IT would be much better to lay down new power wire and grounding. Use at least 8-guage. IF you can follow the old grounding wire use the old connection to the body for grounding since this will already work. The wires to the factory amps are small and will not allow the amp to function at its best.

I guess I will pony up and run all of the wires. I just thought it would be much easier if I could use the factory ground and power cables since they work on the old amp and are already wired to the car. If the amp will not work properly though, I will definetly run my own wires.

Thanks.

ANYWAY, wiring isnt that bad, just make sure you run the power and ground as far away from the signal wires as possible, otherwise its going to sound like garbage

Yea I started the wiring on the weekend and ran my RCA's down the drivers side and my power cable down the passenger side. I hope that was what I was supposed to do.
