Passed Emissions with S/C

Ok,

I know it is a bit silly to get excited about passing emissions, but I was very worried about getting Karen's supercharged 95 (aka Ivan) through emissions, especially since the car has seemed to run really rich lately.

Well, all I did was install a used stock Y-pipe, fill the tank with Chevron 92 octane and drop the TwEECer idle speed down to 975rpms. I drove it through emissions and other than the techs oohing and awwwing over the gauges (they never even asked what was under the hood), the car passed great. In fact, the car passed better than any other car I have EVER taken through emissions.

Forget about pulling the SPOUT plug to pass emissions, all you need is a big old Vortech supercharger with 48lb Accel injectors

The test report is here:

It passed with lots of room to spare. As much as I have been frustrated with the TwEECer, I think I am sold on it now.

I am still in shock I passed, and don't know what else to say.

I don't know where the 9.3 hp came from, unless that is the hp load for the car when they tested the cruising emissions at 25mph.

The car dynoed at 349 at the wheels with the old S-trim Vortech, and it now has a T-trim on it. Last Saturday I dynoed it and it only made 326 hp, but it was running pig rich at about 10 to 1 AFR. I am working on why it ran so rich then. I really want to get it to 400hp at the wheels. Maybe next summer.
