Waiting on my new rims and tires. Car has just less than 30K and PP struts.

Going to lower her with H&R, going to change out rear sway bar with Whiteline.

While my suspension is apart I want to replace the shocks and struts. If you were doing the part swaps, what would you do?

KYB shocks and struts? Or by using KYB struts are not similar to the PP?

All Ford? Maybe use Ford PI rear shocks and Ford PP struts?

All Monroe replacement parts?

Other options? I don't have the cash for coilovers and don't see the point. I just don't want a POGO stick for a front end.

Also should I get new or special camber kit? I need to rely on your collective experiences.

would avoid monroe. stick w motorcraft PI or PP shocks/struts.

bilstein does not have options yet, and kyb i don't believe will be better than pi/pp other than for warranty.

H&R of course all the way around

I went Motorcraft PP struts front

Monroe severe shocks in the back

I replaced bushings bolts and all Ford hardware

Put in AD trans mounts of course

Put in Whiteline Sway Bar

I bought but didn't need the special camber bolts.

Hi there,
Whiteline rear sway bar, are they adjustable and rear Monroe shocks are they the same as SHO PP rear shocks? Having a hard time sourcing rear sway bar, where did you purchase them from?

All my parts are hyperlinked in my signature. Monroe shocks are good, though don't see any big difference between stock ford and Monroe. I will say they work well, however the sway bar is the muscle in the rear.

always had good luck with monroe, my applications have been mainly oem replacement but they hold up nicely. cant help but wonder if the PI parts are rated differently for the added weight in the trunk.

Yeah that's te issue they don't say specifically is different, I always liked my Monroe shocks and struts in my other cars. There isn't much out there from other manufacturers to pick from. I had to forgo the stock bushings and hardware I bought - Monroe is not engineered to replace the Ford shocks, more than likely used in many platforms. Yaycandy in the past said he would just keep with the ford shocks, more than likely I will do as well. Not slamming Monroe just doesn't make any noticeable difference other than being rated for PI vehicles specifically.

any reason you didnt go with the KYBs? I have been a fan of monroe for years too but my brother swore by KYBs for ride quality. I remember when he bought his wife a neused explorer that needed a little love he said "If I wasnt an idiot and decided to work on cars for a living I'd put KYBs at every corner, but im broke and need beer money so napa it is" he would actually get excited if the service manager talked a customer into KYBs lol

Thanks kryptto. I was able to find sway bar and purchased last night for under 200 dollars.
