Ok,

I am going to put a oil pressure gauge on the SHO tomorrow. I am curious if anyone knows what size the fitting is that screws onto/into the block. I would like to cut out the 17 inevitable trips to NAPA if I could... Thanks guys.

Here is a picture I made up a while back. I can't remember what size the threads are but they weren't hard to find. The 3/8 kind of sounds familiar. I kept my stock oil pressure sender and used a T fitting..... If you have an extra oil pressure sender bring it with you to the store to compare/test it.

Take both the stock sensor and the new gauge sensor with you to the store. The part of the "T" that threads into the block will have to have the same threads as the stock sensor. Then match up the threads of the "T" that holds the sensors. Just mix and match fittings until you have what you need. I ended up buying 3 pieces:

-one "T" with 3 female ports
-one male to male extension to go betweeen the "T" and the block.
-one size adapter to go between the stock sensor and the "T".

Oh, and don't forget the teflon tape! :)
