I have a 94 ATX SHO, and the other day I was driving when it was about 92 degrees outside and my car runs really hot on days like that. The gauge is up to the N on normal. Long story short, I get home and parked it and noticed steam/smoke coming from the wheel well and noticed oil underneath the car on the left side the next morning. I drove it today to work and when i parked it, i looked underneath to see if it was still doing it and there was nothing there. Any ideas??

rear main seal is the only real leaker on the back side of the engine (side closer to the driver), but its more in the middle than the side of the car... are you sure its oil smoking, and not coolant, atf etc.

if it was really hot, maybe some of the coolant leaked out and hit your cats, causing smoking, if your exhaust has buildup on it, you can usually tell if its coolant or oil

I check oil levels and they did not change, coolant looks ok and so does ATX fluid. Is it normal for your temperature gauge to be up on the N during a hot day???

its normal to be higher, but not alot higher.... i would look into replacing the thermostat and or flush the radiator, replace with new coolant

RCM has the thermostat, and the correct motorcraft one with the bleeder valves
