Here's what I have:
93 ATX 136,000
I bought this car used 6 months ago.
I know its never had 60k job
Was working Ok till a few months ago.

Now for symptoms of destruction:
CEL light comes on intermitanty.
Checked the plug wells when I was changing plugs out...oil in all of them.
Question #1--Would this cause my stalls at stop signs?
RPMS will be normal for a few seconds....then BAM.....RPMs burp and then down to zero,,,,stall!.

Question #2- By installing the new Valve Cover and Plug well seals will fix the stalls?
I did clean the IAB. And it seemed Ok....dont know how to tell if its bad. It appeared to move by hand OK.

Question #3-- How about the O2 sensors?...Change these will help?

Step 1: Read the codes stored in the computer.

Step 2: Post the codes here for assistance in diagnosing the cause of the CEL.

The oil well leaks are not likely causing your stalling. More likely is a crank sensor, pull the codes and see if any of them relate to it.

Changing the O2 sensors will help in some regards, but only if they are bad. Pull the codes and see what the computer thinks.

Notice a common thread? Pull the codes!

Yeah mine likes to stall too. It starts to dog down while I'm stopped at the intersection. I have to rev it up real quick to keep it alive.

OK....here's the codes.
I had the guy at Autozone run them.

117
217
618
621

The 217 code is related to the ignition coil?
How could this affect the stalling?
Its getting worse.

Please help

Id like to do the work on the car this weekend.

A bad coil would cause 2 cylinders not to fire. Not sure if that is the case or not. Is this a constant repeatable problem? If so you may be able to swap a coil pack with someone's known working one to determine for sure.
I would address the oil leak problem now before the cold weather is here to stay. Run a search for the correct fel pro gasket set and get new plugs and wires. Chances are good that a plug or wire is fouled and if not, there is a high possibility that it will occur unless you address the problem. There are seals there because oil is not supposed to be in there.
