Odd shudder in car when driving. Help.

I am getting worried. My problem hasnt gotten any better. Here are my symptoms.

Usually only happens in the first 10-15 minutes the car is running. When going between either 2-3 shift, or the 3-overdrive shift, I get a fairly violent shudder in the car. The tach drops to almost zero, the car bogs horribly, then it goes away, and I typically wont get it the rest of the day. Any idea what could be causing this? I have a 95 ATX with just a hair under 80k miles. I havent done the 60k due to lack of any money to speak of.

here are a couple things to check......check for oil in the plug wells first. This can cause the problem that you are having. You can also run your codes and see if you have anything that might be the culprit. A failing cps might do this. Another thing to check is the tps. This can cause your car to kind of shudder.

Does this only happen when cold and when the car upshifts?? Sounds like the begining of tranny failure. Check the things that Greg recommended. You might try a tranny flush - that may improve it.
