It should have a spot on the top you plug it into.
That's what I was afraid of. Now I have a problem.
My SHO always had an STI wire that I had used in the past. Now that I need it I can't find it for the life of me.
For 27 yrs. I had always seen and used this single wire with the female spade connector on it hanging a few inches down on the ECM loom. Now for lack of a better explanation it has disappeared.
Either my mind or vision (or both) are completely gone but after an exhaustive search of all the wires, grounds, vacuum lines, a/c, p.s hoses etc. at the firewall on the pass. side from above and below I can't find it. lol
So, I am hoping that someone knows where (or how) I can tap into the ECM "self test input" circuit?
One thing that I have noticed is at the lower left corner of the EEC-IV connector there is a spade connector wire
in that slot that I do not know what it is for or why or even how it got there?? The other wires "signal return, fuel pump and self test out" are present.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks for the reply. Too bad it's not what I wanted to hear.
Joe
p.s I'm going to check out and run down that (extra) wire and see if maybe a previous mechanic put it there and what it is.
