O/D Off Light Blinking... no O/D

Dunno why, It just happened this afternoon..

I but new ATF fluid in.. and on the way to the city it started flashing O/D Off constantly.. wont kick into O/D either.

Any ideas?

I think your flush has caused the OD to go out unfortunately.

As in burned up. The line pressure won't build high enough to allow you to either shift into, or stay in, OD.

Rebuild in the future....

Pull codes. The OD lamp flashing, is the transmissions way of getting your attention. However, there are very few external sensors that will cause an OD lamp to flash. At this time you need to hope that your MLPS is bad. If not, I am afraid that you just may have internal transmission failure.

Yeah Mike is right...when my OD light started flashing after a sustained run of 135mph+, it sent a code for the tranny temp being over or out of range

A bad VSS will also cause that too............But might as well pull the trans the VSS is a mother to get to with it in the car.

Pull the console apart, maybe you pinched the O/D wires. Maybe one of them are cut slightly.

I test drove a 95atx this weekend w/ the od light blinking. Good thing I passed on that one.

im planning on rebuilding mine when i drop my new motor in this spring.. im wondering how much does a rebuild cost. i hear like almost 3K is that true
