I am having a noise, sorta harmonic or a humming type noise, coming from my airbox. Now I haven't really tried to get into it, but if I pinch the hose coming from the airbox to the engine, it stops. Can anyone let me know what this is, cause I know I am not the first person this has happened to. Thanks in advance people. ~Beech wink

half-way there, I think.
I think it has something to do with the IAB or the EGR system. I was working on an ATX SHO that did the same thing after the EGR system was mucked out (cleaned) IIRC when I cleaned the IAB it stopped.

It is an acoustic resonance that can show if the stock intact tract is modified. The stock setup should not exhibit this problem.

Mine did the same thing, and my intake tract was 100% original.

I replaced the IAB (for other reasons) and this sound has not occurred since.

Good luck.
