Hi guys,i installed the fuel pump and sending unit on a 94 mtx 3 days a go but the one i just tuke out,the man that owned the car before me cut the power wire at the tank and ran the wire straght to the fuse box in the car.so i did away with that and wired it up the way its shud be.every thing worked right.but today a fuel injector was leaking so i fix it.got in the car tryed to start it to see if there were any leaks and i noticed the fuel pump wasn't primeing.so i ran the codes and come up with 524, and 543.543 code is the ccrm witch means Open circuit between the B(+) supply and the FPM connection to the power-to-pump circuit and the other.Fuel pump relay contacts alway open.i get Fuel pump relay contacts alway open that means win the key is turned on and power hits it it closes to let power go tru it and it works.but the other one i dont get what that really means.i check the connector to the ccrm pins and came up with what is getting power and whats not.power is getting to 3,4,8,12, and 13.no power is 2,5,6,14,15,16,17,18,21,22,23,24.24 is B+ circuit function but with no power.pin 5 is power to the fuel pump.put a light tester on it no power and the key is turned on by the way.the self test connector to turn to fuel pump on worked before but not now.if u touch pins 5 and 4 at the same time the pump does work.so do you guys think the ccrm is bad or what are your thought on the matter.please help.

i just cut the fuel shutoff switch and wired the wires together and it still woundn't come on.i think the shutoff switch works like a breaker in a air comppresser push the points down it turns on up its off.the fuse link of the ccrm's is bad or ccrm is.i;ll replace both and is what i come up with.

my money is on ccrm also because if the prev owner ran a hot wire to the pump that means he had no idea what he was doing and he couldnt figure it out when the olny thing that controls the pump is the ccrm. good luck

I just spent several weeks working through a similar problem to yours on my Gen 1. Fortunately the previous owner on mine didn't do any rewiring. My problem turned out to be a blown fuse link by the battery coming off the positive terminal heading down into the wiring harness. The way I found it was by testing the connector at the IRCM/CCRM as you did and comparing my results to the wiring diagrams for my model year. You can pull up the wiring diagrams on this shoforum site home page and by following the How do I........link. You'll se the wiring diagrams for your model year.

On mine, the pin #8 was not getting power and that not only supplied power to the fuel pump, it also supplied power to the fuel injectors and MAF. I also jumpered the #5 pin and #1 pin and the fuel pump ran fine. Seems like you should be getting power at terminals #1 and #2 as well? If it turns out to be a fusible link, they have nice BUSS replacements at Advance Auto or Autozone type stores that will accept a standard fuse like the ones in your fuse box. Make sure you pay attention to the proper amperage rating. I also had a Gen 2 person respond to my question that was able to trace their similar problem to a blown "misc accesories" labled fuse in the fuse box. Good luck!
