I had my y-pipe gasket replaced today (I was doin' it myself when my Dremel died). I had noticed a slight leak from the area in the winter and it only got worse. It was so loud, I think ricers with 6" muffler tips were jelous of me. Now it's totally silent. Sounds like a totally different car. Very happy but now I almost wanna get some Summit Turbos just to have some kinda noise. Anyone have a clip of some Summit Turbos on an ATX?

Replacing that donut gasket is regular maintenance on my car. The stainless steel Borla flare tends to make the metal mesh within the gasket squeak when worn. It doesn't leak, but the squeak is unacceptable. For around $5 and a few minutes of work, the gasket gets replaced every 20,000 miles or so. After 288,200 miles that has added up to a few gaskets, but the cost and the effort is trivial to me.

I can get you a video with audio of my '92 MTX with Summit Turbos. I have an 80mm MAF meter with a conical filter... so that makes the exhaust a little louder (more noticeable when revving it) than it would with the stock air-box. But I'd definitely recommend Summit Turbos and the PRO-M 80mm MAF if you want a really nice and deep sound. I totally LOVE the way mine sounds. Can't wait to hear what it sounds like once I get my hi-flow y-pipe! :****:

Let me know if you'd like me to make a video for ya and I'll try to get it to you this weekend.
