Very very nice! Good choice Kirk!

Was there any prep work that needed to be done to the chrome on the grill before you sprayed it?

Most people won't even notice the grille when driving it; just the tail lights quickly fading off in the distance ahead....

A little off this topic but going back to the original thread. I was looking at a fusion today, and I think the driving lights look like they fit the triangle openings in the lower grill.
The car looks sick Kirk.

I'm kinda glad they did things like they did, so people like Kirk can put a personal stamp on it.
The word "stealth" was used alot and I think they listened, a little to well.
WE can spot the difference, slo to SHO in I II III but 99.99% of the people out there couldn't care less.
SOOOOOOO glad you did that Kirk, surprised it took this long.
I vote black door trim.

I had my doubts about the red, and liked the chrome ring with gray bars proposal...but man that looks sweet. Especially parked next to the stock car.

Great job, you've just reduced the satisfaction of every 2010 SHO owner with the stock grille.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing this Kirk.

I was waiting for someone to do this because those 2 parts made me very iffy on the way the gen 4's looked. Before they looked like a regular Taurus. Now it actually looks like a sports sedan.

Sounds like Earl may have been playing both sides of the aisle. My comment was that it had way too much chrome, and that I hated the chrome around the tail lights. that is when he commented that his black one was on order and the first thing he would do is have the chrome painted body color(black) and swap in the SLO tails to get rid of that chrome. Interesting that he got that idea from Chicago...

yep was there when he said it. First thing out of our mouths...chrome must go and bigger brakes

Looks great Kirk! I think some aftermarket wheels would be nice. The SHO needs to be distinguished from the other SLOs more. Gunmetal grey wheels would be killer. Oh and a mean sounding exhaust like your black one. I like angry sounds!

hey Im sure you have done this but send that pic of the two SHOs to earl. thumbs up from SHO crowd!

Murph, I cant stand gunmetal for some reason.. Maybe because so many people do that.. When I did the black wheels there was No one that did that in the SHO.. Now look, every other SHO has them..

But these ones are going black, a New black that I just seen I loved.. SHould look real sharp!

And the rest of the chrome will be deleted soon to, the trunk will be easy! but the side trim will be a PITA to do the right way so its lasts.

In the photo of the cars side by side, de-emphasing the grill makes the car look wider and lower. It has a tougher look. Both fronts look good. It all depends on what you want.

Nothing says "ricer" like tinted lights. Especially headlights, when most of us want all the light we can get out front.

I think a light tint of the TAILLIGHTS would look awsome IMHO. Just a thought. Shame on anyone who tints headlights!
