Well guys since my pleasurable learning experience at Dooleyville I have gotten the latest update on PhatSHO, well from what Goodyear is telling me, I had rear bearings in my tranny come apart/loose inside the tranny case. Well the warranty covers that and the service manager said I have some extreme wear in some areas due to the failure. He is working hard to see if the warranty company is going to replace the clutch.....We shall see. Whenever I get it back I'll let everybody know and I'll let everybody see it and go through it with me and fill my head with more knowledge about my car. I appreciate all the info and the hospitality of Tom and his wife as well as all of you guys for helping me learn and enjoy my own personal driving machine.....Does this sound like a commercial....lol I miss my SHO and I'm getting way to familiar with the Phoenix bus system :nut: Hopefully it will end before this weekend.....More info to follow.

Later,

Good luck Virgil and if they don't warranty the clutch, I'm sure we can find enough youngins around to help you do it yourself.

And BTW, I do have a spare MTX I'd sell for cheap if you want it.

Since the tranny is out, replacing the clutch only requires the parts for when they put it back together. Clutch disks are cheap, and the whole clutch kit with stock pieces isn't that expensive.

If they do deny coverage on the clutch you might think about springing for the parts and have them put them in when they put the car back together.

I better get rid of some of this stuff, before I'm the homeless guy.

There's a possibility that I may need a replacement MTX here in a minute, so that thing might find a home fairly quickly...

Eric, have you found a real problem with your MTX?

Brian, I'm pretty sure the tranny is going to stay in Arizona.

Brian,

Yeah these deals are for AZ SHO Club guys, since they are the ones that usually find them for me.

Virgil, I would have to second the above... I would replace the clutch regardless of whether or not it was covered. Wish I were down there to help, but sounds like you're coverd there. Good luck!

Well, it's not a happy tranny right now, but it hasn't moved since the last track event and I haven't had a chance to do much with it. I have some things to test for locating the leak, and I need to get some more fluid in it.

BTW, did you ever use the pump and the PVC seal tools that I left at Tom's? They seem to have relocated themselves and we're trying to find them.

Eric, I put the pump with your stuff on the shelf. I cannot remember what I put it with, but Tom told there was some of your stuff on the shelf so I put the pump there. It is still in the bag you had it in, I just closed it up. Thanks!

EDIT: I think you had a Rotunda tool kit there. I put it on top of that. IIRC.

AHA! I will look in Eric's section and get back with you.

Tom

Edit: Found it. Northeast corner of shop, up high, on top of the rotunda kit.

Much grass! Thanks guys. I'll try to get up there and retrieve it so that I can see how badly my tranny is hurt.
