Mine is a young one with on 58,000 km (38,000 miles or so). First mod should be getting a decent cold air intake. There are various forms, but one of the simplest is on the V8SHO site called Porterization. You can make it even simpler by skipping the PVC elbow entirely and just use about 15" of 3" diameter rad hose for big trucks and attach it to the airbox entry with 3 small pop rivets or screws. You have to remove the sax stock intake piping. The V8SHO site has good detail on how to do that also. Before taking out the last bit that goes from the airbox to the inner wheel well, be sure to use it to measure the angle you will have to cut into your rad hose that will replace it so you get a clean attachment to the air box. Mod costs about $10 bucks or less for parts and is worth noticable changes by the seat of your pants power increases.
