Low fo SHO, How much stretch are we talking about here? usually tire stretch can go no more than 1.2435% of its resting position to retain rigidity and tire integrity but different compounds like racing compounds will change this percentage of under stress. Either way its not like you will be able tuck a 9-10inch wheel in a sho without cutting the fenders up.

It's actually not, honestly.

Now, you've lost me. Its clearly a safety issue. Modding your car is one thing. I get it. You like a certain style. So, you make your car fit your preferences and your personality. But, "modding" your tires is a bad idea.

i just don't get this tire stretching thing. tucking rim makes a car look lower than it actually is, while stretching a tire onto a rim where it does not belong and making it very dangerous to drive on does not make a car look lower at all. it just makes the rim poke out of the side of the car. Then you put horrible suspension on the car so the camber is soo far out of line that the car looks broken. I see that its a fad and some people think its cool, but at what point do you look at what your doing and think "what if im on an off ramp on a highway and my stretched tire decides not to be stretched anymore?". Do you remember the explorers that had tires come off the rim? They flipped over and people died. So when your rim digs into the pavement and your horribly aligned sho spins and flips over i hope your thinking "man why was i such a douche-bag". :swing:

can't believe this thred is still going. Continue to feed. Come to think of it, the pics a few post above remind me of the Windstars being towed in with broken axles at work. Is this really the new fad? I should call Ferd and tell them to stop the Windstar recalls, diz look is dope!

Says the guy that wants to stretch tires on a SHO...

I wish I had more time to waste on this stupid shit and I would have done this already. Been too busy making my car sit PROPER and FUNCTION correctly.

How can this guy fail at failing so hard?
