I have purchased these lamps in the past direct from JKL (the manufacturer) for around $2 a lamp but ran across this in the latest Mouser catalog and had to share it with everyone.
The lamps for hardbutton units (95 SHO as well as the new style 'round button' units) are part number CNW1-23 in the neo-wedge incandescent section.
I've never needed lamps for the soft button units so I'm unsure which would work for that application.

I do recommend replacing all 5 lamps to eliminate any differences in brightness from the old/used lamps to the new ones. I'm not saying these JKL lamps are brighter or dimmer than the stock Ford, just that old lamps will be somewhat dimmer than brand new ones.

Awesome. I have a unit that I stripped all the blubs out of so I didn't have to buy new ones. Now I can put blubs in it and sell.

Bad news guys. I sent this out prematurely. Further review reveals the lamps are not the correct size. What we need is a T 1 1/4 size lamp approx 10 mm in total length. The identified lamp will more likely than not be too small in diameter to fit properly in the hole in the display board. A million apologies for this error, I really need to read the fine print a touch better.
On a side note, I can get the correct lamps in bulk (minimum 100) for about .75 apiece directly from JKL (as could any of you as well) maybe we can set up a group buy/bulk order someday. Anything from tossing more valuable cash into Fords coffers.

Ah, well. If you do go ahead with a group buy count me in for at least 10 now.

I sent an email off to JKL to see if the lamps I purchased last year are still available. Once I get some real information and IF this becomes a group buy, I'll kindly ask one of the moderators to move it to the proper category.
Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. :smash:

I'm still working on this one. Should be able to get a set of 5 shipped in a bubble mailer for less than $7.
Oh, 5 for the price of one from Ford. I'm liking it.

Do you think that I could get blue bulbs? I'm really trying to make my new hard button illuminate blue at night to match my gagues and CD player. If not, where would my best bet be? Possibly LEDS?

If your new eatc doesn't illuminate blue now I can only assume that is green. Unfortunately, Changing the color of the lamps will only help a little with the difference since the buttons themselves are transluscent and are what actually generate the blue or green color. The display also emits white light which is colored by the transluscent cover.
I have modified several of these units so if you want to send an email I can give you more info.

Well I'm finally back in action after a no so brief hospital stay. Sorry if I've kept anyone in the dark. (pardon the pun)
I have made contact with my friend at JKL and he quoted me $95 per hundred plus shipping. I can put a set of 5 in a bubble mailer with postage (USPS) for $7.50 and will be starting a group buy on these next week. I'll just go ahead and buy the lamps and hope I have enough takers to break even.
Interested parties can PM me with the number of sets needed.

awesome!

this is a really good deal, boys and girls. I can almost GUARANTEE you will need them one day if you intend on keeping your SHO, and you most certainly will be kicking yourself when you are handing $10 over to a dealership for ONE bulb....

Awesome, I need EATC bulbs badly!!

Also how is Marseilles treating you?? I live in naperville (DuPage county) and I was going deer hunting out there every fall/winter for years..Havent had a chance to make it out that direction in a year or so.

Also are you a SHOcago member??

I've been out here since '91. Not much to do short of watching the grass grow but that suits my style!
I'm not a member of SHOcago, my schedule at work is somewhat prohibitive to planning anything more than rearrainging my sock drawer. Hopefully that will mellow out soon!

**Lamps are going out at my cost plus enough $$ to cover the group buy donation.**

Which button are you in need of? I have a couple of faceplates with one scratched button. Maybe I have the button you need...
