Since you are running Livernois tunes, you may want to contact them. My W/M system came via Torrie @ Unleashed Tuning & Fast Parts Network, as did my 3 Bar MAPv sensor.

The purpose of the Water/Methanol system is to cool your air charge, which allows your engine to make more power, when tuned for the cooler charge. The 3 Bar MAPv sensor which installs on top of your intake manifold, in place of the 2 Bar one, allows for boost levels that are higher than 1 atmosphere or 15.7 lbs of boost. In effect, Ford's 3 Bar MAPv sensor allows boost levels up to 2 atmospheres. But since our turbos can't build that much boost as they are small, it helps optimize the effective boost.
Note, this does require logging your WOT runs to make sure the new tunes keep your various parameters, such as Lambda (A/F), FRP (fuel rail pressure) and other things, to remain within safe limits.

Darreli is using both on his SHO. His W/M system allows for 100% Methanol.

There are several good articles on W/M systems. Read as many as you can. I found one that pertained to motorcycles that had a lengthy history of their use, going back to WW II airplanes.

If I am not mistaken, Darrell is NOT running a 3 bar MAPv and neither am I. Dan has it ready to go, but has not had the need for it with his current tune.

Thought he was... But... "Only the PHANTOM "Darreli" Knows for Sure"! LOL

Only real benefit is that you can get a steady 2-3 lbs extra boost. Over that, it gets peaky...though does help some at high RPM. Negative that I have currently is too much spinning of fronts all the way thru first, and consequently having the thing shut down for a split second. That's why I have Nitto 05R's on order. Also, it makes the FRP drop more than before. That's why those Lambda Numbers are so critical to watch.

Congrats! Very nice!!!

We use a 100% methanol system along with a Ford 3-bar sensor.

As of now, we can sell you the kit, but it will require some fabrication of brackets for the aux fill tank and pump. When we get another car in here for the install, we will duplicate it, but not sure when that will be.

Sorry for the late response! I decided to go to Chicago for the weekend to watch the Lions take a shellacking from the Bears :fit:

Anyway, yeah, I've had the 3 bar on there since the beginning of the season.

Rick,

I installed my W/M pump behind the clear radiator expansion tank, using a short piece of aluminum strap, that allows it to quickly be removed. I also use the stock windshield washer tank as my only reservoir, for both cleaning the windshield as well as for my w/m solution. I realize the Alky Control system uses braided lines, vs the hard plastic ones most other systems use, but, even so, you can use the pump to pump out your methanol, back into a jug, after using it at the strip. The only reason this wouldn't be practical, is if the car is being used for racing on the street.... Or... if all of your fittings are not quick connect ones.
