Here's the route I've put together. Basically it's three ~280 mile legs with two fuel stops which should easily be within everyone's range. I tried to pick fuel stops with the best prices and proximity to restaurants, etc.

FWIW, I was originally leaning towards Kirk's suggestion of the Citgo at Exit 1 in NJ, but after checking their price on GasBuddy, they really aren't any better than what we're paying in MA right now (plus it would have meant 3 fuel stops instead of 2).

Chris P. and Bill T. if you could let me know when/where you plan to meet us so I can include those stops that would be great.

The lunch stop there's a bunch of restaurants so everyone can either go out on their own and meet at Sheetz around ~12:55PM or go one place together if everyone can agree. I'm leaning towards Quiznos or Five Guys myself.

One final note: I'm still not 100% sure if I'm going to be able to afford to go the convention or not, and if I do go whether I'll drive my car or hitch a ride with Tony or maybe Fro since Tony doesn't have A/C. I probably won't know for sure until the Monday before we leave. If I don't go I'm sure James can get everyone there safely.

Sounds good Bill. Yeah the time estimates on all the map sites are based on driving the speed limit. As if! Do you have my phone #?

I wont have A/C either.... it works on cool to moderatlely warm days for about 10 mins then gets warm... on blistering hot days it blows hotter than the air outside!! I suspect a shim removal is in order , but no time before convention for that!!

Well, I've decided against my better judgment to put this trip entirely on plastic.

I still don't have 100% confidence that my car will survive the trip, so I'll bring an extra window A/C, and inverter and some duct tape and we'll be all set just in case!

My SHO had working a/c about 1 year of the 10 I owned it. And I threw a lot of money into it, too. Twas a fun trip to Atlanta in '99. Had all the windows down and doing about 95mph through NC trying to stay not sweltering...

Chris, I plan on meeting up with the caravan right off of 84. If you or Matt could call me when your leaving Cracker Barrel that will give me plenty of time to get to Dunkin Donuts which is a minute from the on ramp, then call me when your at exit 65 and I will just hop on the highway and meet up (I'm at exit 66). I still have Kirk's radio he let me borrow from last year, so there should be no issue with me playing a little catch up if need be. O and Matt, my SHO will turn 190,000 on this trip .......also no A\C

I dunno, I spent $2,800 on the a/c system on the 9-year-old original '89 in a 90-degree humid summer in Louisville, after 4-iron shaft to kick in the a/c clutch quit working.

Spent ~ $1,500 to get the a/c going in the white '89, along with an R134a conversion. Worth every damn penny, IMO.
