I am in need of one for my '94 ATX.
Would anyone know where to get it, other than the dealer? I hate dealing with them, they always want TOO MUCH!

Excellent suggestion, if there were any SHOs locally. Besides, the mechanic working on my SHO convinced me that a used one would likely fail fast. That, and he just wont install it! liability.
I would prefer a new one if found, just not from the dealer- cuss

Try SHOnutperformance.com or the Ford Parts Network. I dont know, but i bet you would have a hellava time trying to get one new from a dealer.

Has anyone else had better luck finding this damm part? The mechanic is pushing me for the part. I'm now afraid he might start charging me for storage! headbang

A Junkyard is your best bet. Unless you want to pay a good dollar from one, as far as I know...SHO SHOP is the only place I can think of that would carry it. Others will NOT recomend SHO SHOP..due to there inconsistant shipping(or lack of) elements.

Try Alfitz @ Alfitz.com

Good luck...did you mess up the tensioner when removing the belt?

Yes, but not by me. I paid good money to have the water pump replaced, with the timing belt, and the "certified tech" who worked on it screwed it up!
My NEW mechanic discovered it, and a loose crank pulley bolt too!
He found it while replacing the crank & cam sensors.
I also need the idler pulley bearings.
