A few months ago I started my project - restoring my 94 Sho back to running condition. I had removed the starter as I was going to do the oil pan gasket and got sidetracked for a couple of months. Well, now my daily driver threw a rod and I need this Sho up and running in a hurry. I forgot to label the starter wiring --- OOOPS. I mounted the starter back up and hooked the ground wire to the upper support bolt on the driver side. Now I can't remember where the other ones go. I have three left - 2 are heavy gauge red wires and one is a smaller gauge red wire. I have three terminals on the solenoid but If I remember correctly the two big ones go on the same terminal and the smaller one goes on the other terminal leaving one terminal with NO wire? Is that correct?

Can someone please post a good pic of their starter solenoid with the wiring connected?

I have the new oil pan gaket in, new pickup tube gasket, y-pipe back up not much left to do on the car but now the starter has me stuck. Thanks in advance.

The bare wire that is on the starter goes on the inner stud the other (outer) stud gets the 2 other wires stacked on each other. The ground as you know goes on the bolt with the stud on it.

Ok thanks for the info. The two heavy gauge wires get stacked together and put on the thick stud that is towards the front of the car. The smaller gauge wire gets put on the smaller stud that is toward the rear of the car. The other thick stud gets left alone - the one that is towards the bottom. Sound about right?

I got it - thanks ISHODU.
There's pictures of starters on Rockauto and it's obvious in the picture which terminal the small gauge wire goes on. The 2 big ones are stacked together. Thanks for answering yet another one of my dumb questions.
