Ok to make a story short I sold the sho last year. I just got it back, It had died several weeks ago she said, I towed it home to get started. It cranks but no fuel pump noise. I droped the tank and tested the pump. I'm getting 2.5 volts at the inertia switch in the trunk. It wont pull codes, and the check engine light is dim. I'm stuck and need some help.

Presuming all your grounds (including the PCM ground on the passenger inner fender) are connected securely, it sounds like you need a new CCRM.

You can try punching yours several times to see if it comes back to life, even if ever so briefly to confirm that it needs replacement.

What year is the car? I had a similar problem with a 91 i was working on. No fuel pump, & wouldn't pull codes. There is a small fused power wire that comes off the batt, besides the one that goes to the starter, that had broke. Its a possibility.

His CCRM will only work if his car is an MTX, and even then you'll want to replace your CCRM with the correct letter code if that does prove to be the problem.

Since you have a '91, as whiteman_01 mentioned, there is an additional power lead off of the positive battery cable which goes to a "Christmas tree" connector located in the area behind the passenger headlight. If that is not connected the car will not start or run.

Chalk up another one for Whiteman01.

I'm guessing we never heard back from twistedmonkey here because whiteman01 correctly diagnosed the issue.

Let it be known...if you have a 91 with no fuel pump prime and no diagnostic mode, CHECK THAT LITTLE WIRE cominng from the batt+.
