Need some help/advice buying SHO

Hello all, I am looking to purchase a new to me SHO. Looking in the 2015-2017 model year range, but willing to go older or newer for the right car. I drive a tuned 2016 Ecoboost F150 as my daily driver and am looking for a SHO to have a little fun with. Hopefully you all can help me with a few quick questions to find the right car:

1. What does this performance pack involve and how can I tell if it is on the car?

2. Any difference between those model years that should affect my decision?

3. I hate those flower wheels, are they the most common wheels found on Sho's?

1) Axle code 2A on the door sticker, or the Alcantara on the steering wheel. PP gives you an oil cooler, PTU cooler (who's effectiveness is in doubt), different springs, front brake pads, and shocks.

2) 2015 will have Sync 2 - Not a deal-breaker, but Sync 3 is much more stable and faster. Other than that, no real differences.

3) Think of them as 10-legged spiders I think there is another option for wheels, but they don't seem to ever be on dealer-ordered PP SHOs...

also the pp's will not have spare tire and only have and air pump in the trunk is it's place. the axle ratio is 3.16 and most pp are 20" wheels. you can also put a custom set of wheels on it and use the flowers to put back on when you sell it as most dealers will ding you for not having the factory wheels. then resell the other wheels. the non pp's are faster but not buy much but I would rather have all the extra stuff of the PP.

I found a new 2018 leftover with PP for 32k. Seems like a good deal to me. What do you think?

I just leased a 2018 leftover for around $38K, so yeah, that price is really good. Does it have all the options? Sunshade? Nav, etc?

The non-PP is "faster" 0-60 because of the 2nd-to-3rd shift happening right before 60 because of the different axle ratio. Others have said it's faster overall, but I have yet to see definitive proof of that. That proof is almost impossible to come by because I don't think anyone has ever tuned both a non-PP and a PP of exactly the same weight and done 1/4 mile's to compare at the exact same time of the day

That sounds good. I bought my leftover 2015 just over 2 years ago for 30k. Non-PP but loaded to gills with every option except PP. The MSRP was close to 48k. And as they say, the non-PP is faster because it doesn't shift to 3rd until after you hit 60.

PP u also do not get the option for adaptive cruise control if thats on any interest to you. Also i believe only the PP's can fully turn off traction control.

I just bought that very car you linked to. Took a flight from Pensacola to pick it up last Thursday. It's a Florida car now. I thought they were gonna try some shady trickery on the price when I got there, but that's precisely what I paid for it. I'm in love with it...to the tint shop!

As long as you’re happy with it! I must’ve gotten a great deal. 2018 for 27k or so out the door.

I am sure you can fully turn off traction control with a tune....or maybe just an ABS fuse pull!

4K miles, but.. I failed to do a proper inspection.. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation at 8k, found out my front two tires were bald... I started to worry what the previous owner did to it haha. So far no issues though.

Maybe the previous owner took it to the track. I can see the track eating up the front tires pretty quickly on cars as heavy as the SHO.
