Ok, found all the parts needed at both O'Reilly's and Autozone. The Motorcraft plugs have but the spark plug wires are 185.99 for Motorcraft from O'Reilly's. However, Autozone has the Bosch wires for 84.99$. Will they work together? Also, how necessary are the shims?

Thanks

You can get the plug wires from FordPartsNetwork.com for the following prices. Stay away from the Bosch. No bargain there.

3.0L Motorcraft WR-4033 $83.99+s&h
3.2L Motorcraft WRE-4081 $134.99+s&h

The shims are very necessary to perform the valve gapping. Check with SHO Nut for the rental of their valve adjustment kit.

Will the Bosch's fit? If not are there any other brands that will fit? The guy I'm taking it to has all the shims as he owns 4 SHO's. Just got a hold of him. I cannot afford those Motorcraft wires. Are there any others that work with the 3.2 liter and that will fit Motorcraft plugs?

Also, he says it may not be necessary to replace the wires yet as they usually last until 130k and my SHO is at 88k.

Thanks for your help.

Bosch fit and some people swear by them. But I've seen the Bosch brand on there and in my opinion they didn't fit well. There were gaps between the square part of the plug wire "cap" and the motor. That would allow water and debrees to get into the plug well which when changing your plugs would allow that same dirt to get into the motor. Not a good thing.

Also, just a side note...when changing your plugs or wires IF you have any oil in your wells be sure to clean that out very well so that any dirt in there won't wash down into the engine with the oil when you remove the plug. If you just remove the plug wire and don't clean the oil out it can cause your car not to spark correctly.

Please tell me who on the board swears by Bosch. If they work I'll buy those instead of the Motorcraft.

I tried the Bosch wires twice. Neither set sealed correctly at the valve cover or performed as necessary to prevent misfires after only a short life. I returned them for a refund. Never again.

Any other brands that will fit? I'd prefer not to buy them online and wait for the shipping as I plan to do the 60k on Friday.

Thanks

The only wires that you will get some positive feedback on and that i have seen personally fit well are...

1. OEM Motorcraft (both the MTX and ATX will fit on a 3.2..just the 3.2 are a little longer and fit a little better, i have seen both on either engine)

2. Magnacore i think thats they way its spelled. These are 170+ wires but have good fit and performance.

3. Taylor available from Summit racing (they can get them to you by Fri.) for 80 bucks in either red black or blue. These fit well as well and alot/some list members have them no problem.

Are you sure the MTX will fit my 94' 3.2? Everyone else told me they won't. The MTX's were like %50 cheaper @O'Reilly's.
