I'm desperate. I need a new coil connector as the one on the car has faulty wiring. If I push the connector a certain way the engine will shut off. I've relieved the pull on it by the drooping wiring harness but it still happens after driving for awile. (About after driving 100 to 200 miles).

I've tired taping it in a position where the car will start and run but eventually the connector moves and I stall in the middle of traffic. I can tell when this is going to happen because the car starts bucking when I am moving but as soon as I stop it stalls.

It take me several times of performing gymnastics on and moving the connector around until it starts again. In the meantime as I am stalled in traffic I end up ******* off people behind me and it is VERY dangerous when this happens and I am driving on roads/highways in the barren Southwest (like Joshua Tree National Park) in the middle of nowhere and there is no shoulder on the road when I drive through the canyons.

Long explanation but does anyone have a coil connector for an '89?

P.S. coil is new and I am also getting a code 18 - spout, but the engine runs great. shorting plug is in. Perhaps this code will go away when the coil connector problem is solved.
