mystery mtx leak??

hey guys, proud new owner of a 92' red (not sure of name) mtx w/158k. i have been watching a few freinds with theirs and wanted to get in on the fun!! so i do have a issue/question... i have this fluid leak from my mtx, at least thats where i'm almost positive its comming from. the p/s output shaft seal was wet, so i replaced that with a 3622. filled her up, drove the next day and found a 3 inch round spot of new fluid. brake cleaned it all off, topped it off, drove again. the only place wet is the rear most spot on the tranny by the firewall. it seems to be leaking down from somewhere. any help on this? please guys...i'm getting the boss (wife) already on me about the car because i have to do a 60 top and front. and on a side note, how do i put up a pic of the car in my profile? any and all help, you guys rock!

its red (atf)..fresh. just can't locate the source.

ok, i was out there again with a flashlight, and it maybe comming from a um...where the speedo cable goes in? sound right..maybe?

Mine was pouring out of the speedo cable area at one time. There are two o-rings there, one for the VSS, and one for the cable itself.

bad o'rings? hhmmm. i can wiggle that sensor (where it goes into the tranny). is that supposed to be loose, i can feel a nut on the bottom. tighten that down? replace o'rings? or the whole sensor? thank you for all the help!

Pull it out and check the o-rings; the sensor should not wiggle. There should be a clip on the side of the sensor and a small screw on the side of the tranny. Pull the clip and you can then pull the speedo cable out of the sensor. Remove the screw and you can remove the sensor. I would clean the area before you try to remove the sensor, you don't want grime getting in the tranny.
