I have a 91 SHO. The bump sound sounds like the engine is hitting the hood. When you first take off you feel it the most, and say you where in first gear and you gave it gas to about 3500 RPMs and took your foot off the gas real quick it sounds like the engine was lifted up and when you take your foot off the gas the engine slams down.
So I thought it was the motor mount, to I took it to a shop and sure enough the front motor mount was completely ripped. So I got it replace. The mechanic said the other mount was fine. Get the SHO back and I can still feel the bump sound. So I then take it to a Ford dealership. They said the other mount was fine to. But they said that the problem was the Lower Control Arm Bolts needed tightening. So they did it. And I got the car back and it still make the same sound. Does any one know what the problem might be.
