Hard to say at this point, since Saturday was all in the wet, and Sunday I only had about 20 minutes on track in the dry. It will likely take a few events before I can get a solid idea of how these are going to wear. Supposed to be back out again for a full day at the same track in a few weeks, so I will update after that.
Well, I've had the car out a few more times on the development track at Mosport, and once on the big track. Tire wear is looking decent, I am going to rotate them front to rear. Front outer shoulders are showing a tiny bit of the purple-blue colour on the very edges from heat, nothing serious.
Overall I'm very pleased with the performance of the car, it just keeps popping coolant leaks in various spots. Definitely need to get the silicone hose kit on when they become available. Could use a bit more ooomph of course, we haven't installed the Magnaflow Y-pipe yet. The HP+ front pads are down to maybe 30% remaining, that's after 5 track days I think. Will be swapping in a new set before the next track outing ... need to get the fog lights yanked out as well for some more air flow. The brake feel and performance with the 13" rotors and 38mm piston Cobra calipers is great, I can brake very deep with them, and the pedal stays up all day.
Here are a few shots from an event last month on the DDT at Mosport:
Also need to figure out why the wipers won't park most of the time, and a few other electrical glitches ... but that's part of the reason why the car was only $900.
Sounds like the Direzza's are holding up pretty well. I just got my set in this week as well as some 17x8 TD Pro-Race 1.2's. Should help me out considerably with my "Lack of Tire" problem in recent Auto-X events. I ended up getting some 245/40/17's.
