hello, i just received news that my sho is pretty much dead, my clutch is gone and my transmission is to. i just spent 2000 bucks getting a new suspension and now my driveline is toasted. Its a 92 5spd. I was wondering what my options could be to keep this car alive, price is a very big concern since i have no money. How much would the car be worth with this much wrong?

I can understand a clutch, or a tranny being dead, but both at once raises a red flag. What were the symptoms? Get a second opinion.

I recently entered my 93 SHO into an online "Blue book" to see what I should ask for, and most likely would recieve "if" I decided to sell her. In good condition (With 110K on the odo) it said $3,250. Seeing that you have a shot tranny, and drive train you may be better off "Parting Out" the car... SHO owners are always looking for good deals on parts, and you will definately get more than trying to sell it "Whole" wink

Well i took it in to get my new suspension. I got it back and was drving and it felt like i hit something, but it was just the car, then my clutch started making a spiining sound every time id put it in. I took it in they said it was my clutch and a gear going form 1-2 was kind of messed up. A CV join or something like that broke and i took it to get replaced because it was under warrenty and now the guys tells me my tranny is not holding any fluid and that it is gone. So i have a burnt clutch, tranny but on the updside i have a new suspension which rocks...so im stuck int between a rock and a hrd place

Well, it just happended to me too and I found a rebuilt tranny that came with a complete motor (parts motor for me) for $284.00 on ebay, I drove across one state and picked it up, then bought the clutch, an oversized throw-out bearing with sleeve, and a new rear main seal, and finally after 13 hours of hard work (that I did with all air tools) she's back on the road. So good luck with what ever way you go, I went one way and it all fell together perfect for me..
sorry about your bad luck...but I know how you fell boink

did they say there is a hole in the tranny case somewhere? Cause if the tranny won't hole fluid that it should be pretty easy to spot as you add fluid in. More than likely if something went wrong with a CV joint, they may have replaced the axle. If that was done improperly, and the o-fing or seal in the tranny housing was torn or wasn't replaced it will leak. I know cause mine leaks. but not bad. You may hae burnt out the clutch and possibly toasted your tranny running it with no fliud, but if the tranny won't hold fluid they should have shown you why it won't. If it is an axle then they might be responsible if it was replaced properly. Details...its all in the details.
