My Heater is warm!

How do you get the air out of the cooling system to make the heater hotter? And ahy isn't it hotter? It was ok 'til I changed my heater core.

I would suggest that you make sure you have all you're vacume/electronic controls in order.

you prolly didnt reinsulate the surrounds of the replacement heater core, did you ? now, instead of redirecting the incoming air thru the heater core, its able to pass around it, not allowing the captured heat to be transferred to the passenger cabin.

What do you mean reinsulate cause I put it back just like I took it out. Someone else was saying that probably have air in my cooling lines...what do you think?

from the factory, the heater core has insulation mounted around the edges. this traps any air from bypassing the heater core. when you buy a replacement heater core, the insulation is not on it, you must do it yourself. if you just removed the old core, dropped in a new, and put it back together, thats why your heater is "warm". youre missing that crucial insulation.

air in the lines will purge after several hot/cold sessions.

I don't remember seeing any insulation when taking out the core, though.
