ya i just wanted to ask about my 94 mtx. well first off this car is superchargerd and i removed that to get to the timing belt. i took everything off to get to the timing belt. i set everything at top dead center and then put the timing belt on. i then turned the motor in one complete rotation to make sure everything is still aligned at top dead center. everything is aligned perfectly and i tryed to start it with the belt tight and the dIS module and crossover tube hooked up. just to make sure everything was right on and the car would at least start, the problem is that it didnt start. do all the accesorries have to be put on or is there anything i didnt hook up? o ya i didnt have the harmonic balancer on either i dont know if that causes a problem.

thanx

corey.

wow, thats brave. Dont ever start a car without your harmonic balancer on, it is there for a reason and you could have some major issues if you do. Not to mention that the crank bolt holds that lower sprocket on as well as the balancer.

As to it not starting, you got everything TDC by lining up the dots on the sprockets with all the hashmarks right? 12 oclock, and 12 oclock for the cames and about 5 oclock for the crank right?

The belt lines should match up with the marks when you put it on, making sure the belt is put on the correct orientation (so that the writing is not upside down when viewing the belt from the drivers side fender).

Did you remove the CPS at all? It will have to be shimmed to align.

Crossover tube hooked up meant it was bolted down to the intake brackets and not just put on the rubber hose right? It does have to be grounded to the motor to work.

Put it all back together in reverse order as you disassembled and tighten everything up, it should start.
