My car just did someting weird for no reason. I pulled into a parking spot and shut the key off like normal and the radio stayed on for about 3 seconds then shut off. I restarted it again and tried to get it to do it again and it didn't. I then got out and pressed the lock button twice (to lock it and to beep the horn) and it honked twice. I unlocked it and tried it again and again it honked twice Whats going on?

Thanks,
Brad

The radio thing is normal, it happens sometimes in the 98. If the horn beeps twice upon activating the alarm it means that one of your doors isn't shut all the way. Reshut all your doors and try it agian!

Just a possibility here.

My car got the demons in it for awhile before the battery crapped out. Strange things especially with the radio and wipers. Got the battery tested and it was "FINE". Them demons kept coming in random fashion until I got ****** and changed the battery. No problems since.

My radio does that as well on my 98. It's a random thing. I've even got out and shut the door before the radio went off. It's kinda fun. Also I get the double horn thing all the time. That's due to the fact that my car thinks the driver door is open 90% of the time. When I get in and start the car the "door ajar" light stays on. It eventually goes off after 5 to 20 minuets. Also when I park my car in the garage and leave the keys in the ignition it'll ding for a long time because it thinks that the door is open. I've also had to remove light bulbs in the lights over the rearview mirror because they get SOOO hot and burn out because they stay on thinking the door is open. It's very annoying!!! I've done everything (almost) except for casting out demons!
So in conclusion, the radio staying on for a few seconds doesn't bother me, but the double honk often is annoying.

my dad took our '97 back to the dealer to get it checked out after we bought it. the guy took it around back and sprayed compressed air into the optical sensor that senses when the door is open. i guess dust or some sort of debree gets in there, because it hasn't given us any trouble in 60K+ miles. and about the possesed thing, mine too. every time i press the accelorator the engine makes this ungodly roar and the tires start to spin. :D

I'm listening!!! I don't think I've tried the WD 40 thing. I'll give that a shot (no pun intended).

Thanks Paul & MHolhut
