While having my headlliner out for recovering I decided to re-align the moonroof.
If your moonroof looks like this.

Then your motor will look like this.
The stop switch (blue) should be centered on the cam indent (orange.

Step 1 : Remove two phillips bolts to remove the motor assembly.
Step 2 : Remove the motor assembly.
Step 3 : Tap the moonroof switch until the switch centers on the cam.
Step 4 : Re-install the motor assembly.
Then your moonroof will look like this.

And your motor will look like this.

You can just turn the dial(backwards, I think) without removing the motor.

Put the moonroof in the correct "closed" position and center the dial on the indent by turning it backwards with your fingers.

Can't you just pull the window crank out of a supercoupe and roll that sucker back?

:)

Well, I tried to turn the cam by hand.
It did not work.
I stand correct that you have to pull the motor.

I aligned my moonroof not long ago...I guess I forgot I had to take the motor off...I remember moving by hand though...Maybe after it was off?
