I have a 89', 91' and 95' SHO MTX's. One of the advantages of having so many of the same model is to interchange parts. I was ordering struts for all four corners for the 91'. I have a set of Eibach springs that I was going to combo with the Sensa Trac's. I noticed the for the rear struts, the part numbers are different for the 95' versus the other years (89-94).

Part number 71616 fits the 95' and has the following data:

Body Length 15.875"
Compressed Length 16.06"
Extended Length 21.875"
Travel 5.875"
Parts Pack P590

Part number 71781 fits the 89'-94' and has the following data:

Body Length 15.875"
Compressed Length 15.875"
Extended Length 24.25"
Travel 8.375"
Parts Pack P590

I assumed these cars were all set up the same regarding suspension. Before I order here are my questions? I was planning on ordering the 71616 but in the future could I install them on my 95'? Any advantages to having more travel by ordering the 71781? I have Eibach so they are going to be not quite as tall as stock, so I assume the 71616 is a better fit.

The 71616 is incorrect and is for 96+. Monroe listed it incorrectly.

No wonder! I was having **** of time trying to compress along with 2 coil cut moog and put it under my '94 with Gen3 sfb swap. I had to cut extra 1/2 coil and drop sfb a lil in order to install! I shoulda have gotten one for '96 up, wouldnt that make difference?

We are talking about the rear struts, not the front. The Monroe Sensa Trac 71780 front struts are the same for 89' through 95'.

No worries. I just didn't want someone to get confused on the topic. Nice car by the way.
