well i waited about 30 minutes for the car to cool down, but after that about 4 minutes... drill small pilot hole, let drain for about 2 minutes, drill fullsize whole, tap whole, coat plug in thread sealer, install. fill the tranny, done. easy in and out, i would say it is faster than changing your oil. kinda scary though as you dont want to hurt anything.

yeah, and i really wonder how long the hole would hold up, i know i am going to have tons of metal flakes in my fluid since 3rd gear and fourth gear grind unless you shift it just right, i know changing the fluid will make a very big difference.

Currently running Redline MTL... It was suggested because of the non-paper syncs in the '89 trans. Well, it was slightly notchy at first, which I loved. Shift gate response wa positive and reassuring. You felt it get into gear. ~1k later, 1-2 became harsh, grinds if I try shifting fast at higher RPMs. Now, it's at about ~5k, I want to shoot myself! It takes all the fun out of shifting. Will try some M1. It'll be a while, though.. Have to worry about a crank and rod swap first... DOH!
