Hey those rice denali GMCs, and Escalades with em in the mirrors, are obviously ricer trucks than, right?! $100K mercedes come with them on the mirror, and the Lexus looks tasteful with the right color combination and altezza lights IMHO. Rice is a matter of opinion, but those Honda's with stickers, mismatched ground effects, and no motor mods, are rice. A SHO with LEDs in the mirror may look modified, but it also has some GO to it.. Anyone other than Raven with opinions?! Someone on here must have done it..

I'd consider these rice because of the color, not the actual product, but I suspect this product isn't too great either. If you're going to do this, stick with red or amber LEDs. Colored lights on the outside of the car scream "Look at me!"

I also have a feeling that the ebay LED signals, are just a sticker that is put onto the front part of the mirror. You'll always see the arrow, even when its not flashing, notice there is no picture of what it looks like in the daytime? You'd have to replace the actual mirror for it to look like what the Denali, F250 and Benz's have, which you aren't going to get for $30.

The TCCA link is the best way to make these, and it might still cost more then $30.

Ya know....This might be crazy but, It may be possible to put the stick on style behind the mirror using a similar approach as the TCCA link... :naughty:

You might be able to get a break on insurance because of the more visible turn signals. What color lights were you planning on using? Who knows?!?!? I don't think it looks that bad.

Ive considered custom-fabbing red or amber LEDs into the rear view mirror housings themselves. Just 3 LEDs would be plenty bright.

I really like the idea of being SAFER. Rice, or not.

i have also thought about fender mounted blinkers and clearance lamps that come stock on many euro vehicles. But I would much rather modify a set of mirrors, than blow holes in my fenders :D

In the end it's your car, it's great that other people may give a thumbs up once in a while, all that matters is that you like. :thumb:

Well, I will be doing red or amber, due to the conflict of blue with the police, although I did consider green, being that I have a rare emerald green SHO. I think it will look nice, I have a spare set of mirrors to try it out on too, so why not, right?! I think I'l be going with the TCCA method, although I dont know if I'l have the patience! And For the record, I also think a gun-metal altezza, or something of that sort, would look nice on a dark colored SHO. :D

yes and no.... keep it close to legal, then it doesnt look tacky... i think rice is a way of someone trying to enhance their car... but almost all the time it looks tacky. if i saw a little civic with matching bodykit..... 4 rims... not oversized butt cans, real HIDs, and blown, i dont think i would call that rice.

Like I said, to me rice is someone with mismatching bumpers/fenders, no intentions of painting it any time soon, fart can(s) on the rear, and no go under the hood. I have seen many SWEET imports, wouldnt call them rice at all.
The TCCA link looks like I need a drill press in order to do it right... Hmmm.. Are those ones on ebay definitely stick on, and hideous during the day?

Using actual arrows for turn signals looks really cheesy to me, it's like those old taillights covers that had arrows punched in them so they light up.

It'd be a lot of work to get the yamaha logo punched into my moirrors, wouldnt it? That would be a sweet led directional! Except no one would know what it was unless they were SHO literate!
