How many mile should I pamper the fresh overhauled 3.2- it received new rod and main bearings and all those new seals N gaskets. I didnt replace rings because the cross hatchet's visible no glaze whatsoever (got 3.2 at 80k mile).
I was going to take it easy on it for like prolly 500 miles or so what do u think?
Thanks Paul

What I'm going to is take it easy for 1500 miles. But go all through the RPM ranges, never stay on one rpm for extended periods of time. Change oil every 500 miles. And a lot of heat up and cool down cycles. That's what I read was best.

Beat the snot out of it every chance you get.

The cars with motors that are broken in with consistent hard driving are always the fastest.

All you have to do after you start it for the first time is let it get up to temp and run a while, then let it cool down. After that, drive it as if it is a car you've been driving at the track.

I had less than 300 miles on my 3.2 swap, when I sprayed my way to a 13.91@106.
