I was just wondering if anyone else has had any dealings with Midwest SHO and what kind of experience it was? I won a bid on e-bay for a complete stereo system on March 23. I paid right after that and still have not received the stereo. I have asked MANY times for Mike to provide me with a UPS tracking number as he claims that it was shipped UPS. He, however has no idea when it was shipped and also has refused to this point to provide me with the number. I don't know what to do ! ! !

I know this guy, *****...

Seriously, send Mike an email request for the info, and be patient. Snafu's happen to everyone, and he may not be able to pinpoint a tracking number, especially if he brings shipments to a drop-station instead of having them picked up at his place.

My frustration is that I have e-mailed and asked SEVERAL times for a tracking number. And none has been given to me yet. I run a business also and I have every UPS tracking number that I have shipped in the past year. I save it incase something like this happens. I also know that UPS has a way to gat the tracking number from their web site, and have told him about this. Still no number. I understand that sometimes problems arise. I deal with the public everyday. I also try my best to make every customer happy. I'm very unhappy with this transaction. I never knew it was that difficult to get a UPS tracking number IF an item has been shipped.

I know how you feel...I won an Ebay auction a month ago with "Buy it Now" and STILL have not received the product. The seller hasn't replied to any of the e-mails I've sent over the past week. Well...I was told that they would be shipped 2-day, but that was about April 4 or 5, which was 2 weeks after I won the auction, and I haven't heard anything since despite repeated attempts to e-mail the seller.  headbang

I'm not that seller folks. :) Just wanted to clear that up. :p

Matt, look in the Vendor feedback forum.

Fred, I do drop off at a local mail boxes ETC or regional UPS office.

Mike and I have e-mailed back and forth a bunch. I will say that he has responded to all my e-mails. I guess that I'm just frustrated not to have a tracking number. Maybe others aren't as **** about keeping records. At any rate, Mike has promised me a tracking number by tomorrow. If I get that and a delivery date, I'll be happy.

well, most of the problem got solved today. Apparently the people at UPS refused to pick the package at MBE because of a lable. I had no idea UPS offered such crappy service ! ! ! Anyway I wish we could have found the problem sooner. Mike assured me that I'd have the package by Thursday and assuming that happens, he can add me to his list of satisfied customers again.

Yes, and if the people that bought the DIS, Coil Pack, and Coil cover are ready to make a post like this, check your email first. All your packages were waiting there for me when I got there. Check your emails. The tracking numbers are in there also. :)

I bought Intrax srpings off e-bay from Newlevelperformance. Used the buy it now and they prepaired a shipment the next business day.

Well that was on March 31 and I didn't get them until yesturday April 14. When I called there shop the guy was real nice and gave me the UPS tracking number which showed they were picked up on 3/31, but didn't leave San Diego until 4/9 (ground due to weight). San Diego is like a 14 hour drive from NM.

They sell a lot of springs, and it's happened before to other customers. I guess they end up at the UPS center and don't get loaded. It's just the way business goes some times.

Thats why I use Amex and get insurance on everything I buy from e-bay.

Well no worries about it any longer, since UPS bought Mailboxes Etc. thumb
Sure enough... I saw one by my buddy's house last week and I just assumed it was the one store, but when I went in to my local store today all the Fed Ex signs were gone. :)

Unfortunetly, not no worries. Anyone that deals with UPS with anything billing related can most likely attest that they are clueless. After the 1st of the month I am going Fed Ex.

Mike it varies location by location.

I have had horrific dealings with FedEx, and anything that came from SHO Shop a couple of years ago for me that came via FedEx was all screwed up (including my blower kit).

Fred,

I agree, I have had a couple of bad experiences with Fed Ex as well.
However, I send at least something per day with UPS (on average) and receive at least one thing per week with them and have had no problems.
So it probably varies at each location.

It's not so much the delivery time or condition that I take issue with (the faded labels were my fault :) ). It's the pricing and the ability of the customer service.

First off, the pricing is insane. It's just so much higher than their competitors. When I have to pay $8.00 to send a 3 lb box from Chicago to Michigan I get a little peeved.

Also, the stores seem to be good, but if you have a shipper's account with them, just try to get on the phone and ask a question. I dare you. :) They just have no clue. They can't look up tracking numbers by shipping number, they can't check history more than a month in the past, and they can't for the life of them figure out how to get the Paypal billing correct.

On top of that, the only method of payment is check. You can't pay your bill over the phone with a credit card, you have to send in a check.

Alone, these problems may seem petty, but combined, I think that there is valid reason for concern and I should at least explore the options, as they appear to be much cheaper.

And that is my rambling for the day. :)

Mike are you talking UPS?

I live in Santa Fe, NM and it's a County pop of about 90K. There is a huge UPS warehouse here. If someone pays for GTD next day by 10am from say Atlanta, UPS doesn't have to deliver it by 10am. Reason; they clasify Santa Fe as rural? bs

Our CPU hard drive went bad, and I had a loaded drive shipped overnight from Atlanta with guaranteed 10am delivery. At 12pm I was going to each truck that services our downtown area and pulled it off the truck. If I hadn't, the driver told me it wouldn't have been delivered until 3pm.

I run a full service hotel and without computers it becomes a REAL problem.

I use both UPS and Fed Ex. They have both F*ed up. But th "Give a sh*t factor" seems alot better with FedEx. When they F*** up, they do what they can to make it right. UPS just tells you to go pound sand.

sunny San Juan Bautista,
Here's my UPS story. Once I ordered a new CV joint from Florida. I had the tracking number. Watched as the CV joint made in cross country by ground over a period of a week. The package made it to a Northern California UPS facility. OK, I should be getting it the next day I was thinking. Then my package just disappeared so I called UPS and put a trace on it. About a week later I use the tracking number and see that the package travelled all the way back to Florida. Somebody forgot to take the package off the truck!!!! Didn't go back to the sender, it just turned around and headed back west again. Over 3 weeks and I finally get my package. Sigh.

Both UPS and Fedex have ****** me off a number of times. Most recently UPS with a very expensive (when new) scanner I sold on ebay. I insured it for the value of the winning bid, and it worked flawlessy when it left here. I spent $15 in extra packing materials just to make sure. the new owner gets it, starts playing with it and tells me its broken. UPS was suppose to inspect it, then send me a check so I can re-imburse the guy. Well they just shipped it back to me and then denied the insurance claim. We are talking $150, not the $1500 cost of the scanner when I bought it new 6 years ago. I have gone round and round with UPS about this, and am quite fed up with them. The only reason I seem to use them now is when something is less than $100 for replacement, or they can get it someplace faster than the good Ole USPS.

If the USPS offered a service that was a little cheaper than priority, yet had a good 5-6 day ground across the country, I'd use them for everything. Oh and a tracking number system like Fedex or UPS.

Well, I can say that I thought the saga with Midwest SHO was over almost 2 weeks ago when I FINALLY got my package, however, he "forgot" to put the amps and the power supply in the box. So now, here I am well past 30 days (I won the auction on e-bay March 23) and I still don't have a working stereo in my car. The package was supposed to have a "guaranteed delivery" LAST Wednesday...still no package as of yet today. The billing info was received Monday April 21. I can understand that people make mistakes, but I feel like this has been about the most **** poor customer service that I have ever got. I will say that Mike has returned all my e-mails, but be assured that I will NEVER do business with him again after this ordeal!
