I got the OK from the girlfriend after she got a ride on her uncle's Harley-Davidson last night. I even got to race it. :naughty: Damn that thing pulled on me!

I didn't waste any time, I called my good friend today who has a '04 CBR 600 F4 I, and a '94 CBR 600.

He's had the '94 parked for a while due to buying the '04, and to a stretched timing chain and noisy tensioner. He's going to sell it to me cheap, and I'm going to attempt the work myself. He got a quote of $600 from the Bike shop he bought it from. He also has some kind of maintenance and tire waranty that he paid $1500 for, that he's going to try and get to transfer, and he's not going to charge me!

It's also going to need a little body work, and a paint job. It's F-ING PURPLE!! :vomit: I can handle both of those myself too.

I'm going to be commuting to school 25 miles one way for the next two years and going back and forthe to work too.

I've never ridden a bike before. :oogle:

Any comments or suggestions?

I have a suggestion... Let me buy it! I've been looking for something similar, however, I may not want to get the carbed version... But for the right price...

I know, I don't want carb'd either, but it is a starter bike. I want to start somewhat simple, but not 1970's simple....;)

hey, theres nothing wrong with the old sport bikes!!

get alot of practice in a parking lot!! i wouldnt worry about fixing the body till you lay it down a few times... because if you have never ridden, it will go down.. alot....

I've only laid one bike down and I was 16 and it wasn't from bad riding. If you're laying it down a lot, don't ride that thing around me.
