ok not be **** but my parts came from rockauto and the water pump that I got is just teh font half of a water pump(every thing is open on teh back side) is this alright to use for my 1995 mtx. It looks right from the front jusr looks smaller than other I have seen in picture and want to make sure I got the right part before disasembling my only transportation. also the paper work says to flush the cooling system before changing the pump. should I flush and change fluid before or during the change. and if I am flushing the system should I use one of those additive to clean out the colling system before I drain it?

Just drain the radiator and be prepared for another quart or so that will come out of the paths opened after the pump is removed (engine crossover tube). Make sure the bolt holes in the new pump body agree with the those in the unit currently installed on your car. The 3.2L engine uses a slightly different pump. Once removed, separate the casing halves and clean the old gasket material with a gasket scraper. Be cautious with the torque on the bolts when reinstalling the pump. The short 10mm bolts are threaded into the aluminum rear case and don't like too much torque.

you have the correct replacement as long as the bolts line up. if i were you i wouldnt take off the whole old water pump, unless you have a new cps and timing belt. this way you dont have to take off timing belt, lower timing cover, and the dampner. making the job take less than half the time.
